Volcano mountains are scary. Though they are natural phenomena, a volcano can be extremely devastating. In this experiment we are going to make a simple yet interesting volcano in two steps. In the first step we will make a model of volcano and in the second step we will activate the model using some baking soda and vinegar. - An empty bottle
- Some newspaper
- Some colours
- A hard board for base
- Play dough (brown colour)

DIY Volcano Mountain (Part 2): Live Volcano
- The Volcano Model
- Baking Soda
- Red or orange food grade colour
Step 1: Add baking soda to the cavity of volcano mountain model.
Step 2: Add the food grade colour (red or orange) to the cavity of volcano mountain model.
Step 3: Pour in the vinegar through the cavity. Stay aside and watch your volcano mountain erupting.
Vinegar and baking soda reacts and produces carbon dioxide. The production of carbon dioxide forms bubbles to that erupt out through the cavity. If you liked this science project, can you answer the following questions?
