We all love to ice creams. The boring thing about ice creams is the time that we have to wait for getting the ice creams frozen. If we could make some instant ice creams… Do not worry friends. We will teach you how to make ice creams using dry ice, instantly. Dry Ice is simply solid carbon dioxide (CO2) which is available at ice cream shops and supermarkets. Also you can make dry ice with CO2 gas tank / Soda maker at your home.
Be cautious! If not handled carefully, dry ice can cause frostbite. We recommend you to take necessary precautions before handling dry ice (use appropriate gloves).
Try it yourself
- Dry ice
- Heavy whipping cream – 1 cup
- Condensed milk – 1/2 can
- Vanilla extract – 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt – 1 pinch
Step 1: Take the bowl and mix together condensed milk, vanilla extract and salt. Mix well with spoon.
Step 2: Whip the heavy cream and add it to the bowl.
Step 3: Crush the dry ice into fine powder using a hammer (Wear the gloves to avoid frostbite). Add the dry ice powder to the ice cream mixture, bit by bit, stiring continuously until it freezes.
Step 4: Watch CO2 gas is escaping from the ice cream as bubbles. It will give your ice cream a good texture.
Your ice cream is ready. Pour it in a small ice cream cup and enjoy the coolness and taste. Before eating it, test the ice cream to make sure it’s not too cold. Let it warm slightly before digging in.
